Group (luxury cruises) Travel: Traveling For Less
No commentsBy xdavid
Admit it, vacation is your favorite time of year. Not only do you feel more relaxed and “like yourself” than you do during busy work weeks, but you get to experience more of the world, meet new people, and try new things. Studies have long proven that vacation is actually quite good for you, increasing your immune system’s function, and sharpening your senses. After two weeks on vacation, subjects in studies were able to concentrate better, focus for longer, had faster reflexes, better memories, and were getting an hour more of quality sleep than they were before their departure. Sounds pretty good, right?
Well, it is. Which is why you should be thinking in terms of discount vacation packages for this year’s vacation. Many people, frightened by the economic happenings over the past few months- and they haven’t been too cheering- have begun to cut spending in an effort to save their budget. Cutting the fat out is something that can be good to do when you are facing a tight budget, and pinching pennies has long been a respected way to save money. However, if you start cutting into your quality of life, it isn’t going to matter how many pennies you actually pinched. If you skip all your vacations, you won’t function as well, you won’t be as happy, and there isn’t going to be much that can be done to change that.
The obvious answer isn’t to cancel your plans, but rather, to change them. For example, did you know that you could go on discount cruises, rather than paying the full rate? You don’t get any less of a vacation, either. Oh no, this is the exact same cruise that many others paid full price for. There are two main ways that people get these discounted tickets. One is group travel, in which bulk rates on tickets afford everyone a lower price. The other way to get to go on discount cruises is to buy last minute tickets via the agencies that sell them. When it comes close to time for the ship to sail, tickets that aren’t sold become available for enticingly low prices. This does mean that you’ll need to be able to get yourself to the departure point quite quickly, but the saving that you’re getting on the cruise usually render that a non-issue. For those who live in port cities, it’s even easier- just catch a ride to the dock and off you go.
Whether it’s group travel or solo cruising, there are other ways to save money as well. One of them is to set a budget for your cruise and stick to it. It might seem tempting to buy all those duty-free items on board, but think about it- there’s no competition, it’s a closed market. How can you know that you’re getting a fair price? Secondly, limit the amount of alcohol you drink, as it will likely be the one food/drink item that you have to pay for.

Disneyland Paris - Relax and Have Fun in France
By Fred Ramsbottom
Disneyland is one of the best places in the whole world to relax, enjoy, and spend some quality time with your friends and family.
Life has become so busy that one hardly finds time for one’s friends and family. So once in a while one should squeeze some time out of one’s busy schedule to spend with their family. And when it comes to enjoyment and relaxation, there is no better place in the entire world than Disneyland.
From personal experience it can be said that a visit to Disneyland on weekends (or the day either side of a weekend) is quite hectic, and not as enjoyable as it could be on any other day.
The reason is that on these days most people take holidays and choose Disneyland for enjoyment, so the place can get a little crowded. Hence, if you are not a people person and don’t want to spend countless hours waiting in line to get service or on a ride, then you’re better off avoiding a visit on weekends.
The best approach to get the most out of your visit to Disneyland, is to hire a tour guide who will lead you through the different attractions.
One might have to wait a little while to enjoy the rides (as they are over crowded) but in the end, considering the enjoyment and fun factor of these rides, I would say they are worth the time spent waiting. Some of the best and most popular attractions of the theme park are Space Mountain, Peter Pan, Big Thunder Mountain, Indiana Jones, Buzz Lightyear and the Legend of the Lion King Show.
It is advisable to get a FastPass ticket (which can be obtained by showing your daily passport at the counter, and are sold at the reception desk along with a map of Disneyland) and to avoid long queues, one should check the waiting time for different attractions which are listed at the information point - and plan a schedule accordingly. Other attractions include the Mad Hatter’s Tea Cups, It’s a Small World, Casey Junior and Pirates of the Caribbean.
Disneyland owns some resort hotels. The Disneyland Paris hotels are within the Walt Disney World Resort. This place has become the most popular place for tourists on earth.
The parade is one of the most enjoyable attractions in Disneyland, and begins at about 3 p.m. It starts from the entrance of “It’s a Small World” and continues all the way up to “Mainstreet Railway Station”. There are seven hotels in Disneyland, boasting a total of 5,800 rooms, so there is plenty of accommodation; however it does get a little over crowded in the holiday season so one should book rooms in advance if one is planning to spend some time relaxing at these hotels.
The restaurants are exquisite, their service and food is off the chart - but to avoid the peak hour diners, it is advisable to make reservations as soon as possible to circumvent frustration in finding a place to sit (or waiting to get some service). Some of the best restaurants, such as the Blue Lagoon, Steak House and Walt’s, are the ones that are the most crowded - and why shouldn’t they be? After all, they are the best there is to dining.
The Electrical Parade, which starts at about 10 p.m. is one of the most favoured attractions for the children. Similar is the case with the fireworks that start right after the parade. Disney Village is the best place to stay if one likes shopping at night, as the shops remain open till late. To cut a long story short, Disneyland is an awesome place to spend some time with the ones we love. There are tons of things to do in Disneyland, and the experience is beyond words.
Still, I can’t say everything about Disneyland here, so you have to go online and find some other interesting facts for yourself.

Making Wheelchair Travel a Time to Enjoy
By Musa Aykac
Nowadays it is much easier to travel if you are wheel chair bound. Not so long ago, there were not really any options available to go travelling and those options that were openly available would have probably cost you a small fortune. In current times there are now various accessible platforms that you can use ranging from ease to get on a flight, coach and train.
But for the handicapped traveller there are still a lot of obstacles in the way, so to enjoy your holiday to its fullest, you have to sit down and consider what is the best way to proceed. Let us just take a look at a few important facts that you must not forget when booking your travel arrangement.
First and foremost you should start by deciding where you actually want to go, do not initially worry about if they cater for the handicapped, but look at it in a different view such as “I am going to go to this specific place, I have always wanted to go here”.
Your next step would then be booking your flights and accommodation, while booking the flights you will have to check with the airlines whether they cater for wheelchair access. You should find an airline that will help you travel in comfort. After successfully finding the correct airline you should then move onto looking for the correct accommodation. This may be a bit trickier to manage especially if you are travelling abroad, as some countries may not have the correct facilities available.
Make sure that when you book the accommodation that you are going to get either a ground floor apartment or the hotel has lift facilities. You should also consider the facilities that will be available in your room. Are the doors wide enough to fit a wheelchair? Are there handicapped shower facilities?
If after reading the above and you start feeling that it’s too much hassle and a bit overwhelming then you should turn to specialist disability travel agencies. Theses agencies have expert knowledge and a wide scope of experience that will make life very easy for yourself and your family. Let them do all of the leg work for you and all you have to do is pack your bags.
There is no reason why someone that is handicapped or has a disability cannot enjoy a holiday just like every one else. Whether you are looking for a relaxing vacation in the sun or an activity filled adventure, a lot of niche travel agencies can and will help you find the perfect solution.
