The worlds largest Polynesian festival is held annually in Auckland, as are many other smaller festivals throughout the year. Agriculture has always been a main economic driving force in New Zealand, boasting some of the best dairy, meat, fruits and vegetables that can be found on the globe.

The first thing to do when planning for backpack travel would be to draw up a complete checklist, with regard to what you need to do before you embark on the trip.
